Dental Implant

Patients often experience tooth decay because of inappropriate nutritional habits, poor oral care at home or genetics leading to many cavities. Before creating a treatment plan, the dental professional will extensively review the patient’s medical history and their daily routine in efforts to detect any underlying issues such as medical ailments that may be the reason for exaggerated decay formation. According to collected information, a proper course of treatment is chosen including suitable dental materials most beneficial to the individual needs of each patient.

Digital Smile Design

You may have seen many ads on media about dental smile design, and you may be wondering what it is all about.

Digital Smile Design is a simple procedure where our experienced and professional dentists reshapes your smile to make it look better or even more symmetrical depending on your teeth’ position.

When you are considering what is digital smile design and how it can improve your smile, you need to find an orthodontist or cosmetic dentist that can perform the operation for you.

Our dentist’s will give you over the phone or via the internet consultation to see if this is a suitable treatment for you.

When you arrive at Elite Med Clinic dentistry your dentist will take your necessary records to create a perfect smile design plan for you. Your dentist will prepare your mouth for the procedure. Then your mouth will be scanned with an intraoral scanner.

While you are waiting for the final restoration, your dentist will place temporary veneers on your teeth. After the digitally prepared final restoration is done it will be placed on your teeth. With this digital smile design procedure, you will be able to get the most suitable smile designed for your face.

Laminate Veneers

Laminate Veneer is a thin porcelain leaf that is placed on the front to improve the overall look of the teeth.

Laminate Veneers, known as porcelain laminates, take their name from the thin porcelain layers used in the production of thin veneers.

A laminate veneer is a very minimal invasive treatment technique. The laminate veneer technique is applied without touching the teeth or only by shaving the front of your teeth. After your dentist prepares your teeth, they scan the teeth with a digital intraoral scanner to check your teeth’ condition and transfer them to the computer. With CAD-CAM technology, laminate veneers are produced in a very short time.

After the laminate veneer is made, your dentist can make temporary restorations for your teeth, if necessary, and they will be placed in your mouth by your dentist.

Laminate veneers are made of E-max porcelain. This porcelain material has high strength and looks just like a real teeth. Thanks to the transparent feature of porcelain, laminate veneers look as bright and natural as your own teeth.

As mentioned earlier, this type of veneer has many applications in dentistry, especially cosmetic dentistry. After teeth whitening, crown lengthening, porcelain laminates are some of the applications where this type of veneer is widely used.

Digitally prepared E-max laminate veneers are attached to the teeth. After the procedure, you will have a brand new smile without effort.

Dental Crown

The treatments we perform intraoral aim to treat the lost function, phonation, and aesthetic disorders of our patients. The treatments not only solve the problems in that part but also eliminate the aesthetic problems and thus contribute positively to the mental health of the people. We call dental crowns the restorations we make to treat color changes, dental fractures, or abrasions over time.

Zirconium crowns are a crown material that we often prefer because they are made from a material that closely mimics the look of real teeth and have a very good biological compatibility with tissues. Zirconium dental crowns have a very solid structure as well as are aesthetic. In the treatment of zirconium dental crowns, some preparation should be done on the teeth and then temporary teeth are made for the patients. Thus, the biting, speaking, and aesthetic problems of the patients will not be a problem anymore until the dental crown treatment is over. Zirconium dental crowns can be made in a much shorter time and are error-free with digital dentistry.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening is the process of removing colour changes on the tooth surface by using dental equipment such as light-emitting diode (LED’s) and laser technologies.

Dental calculus, bacterial infections, tooth decay, and other gum-related problems can leave stains on the teeth. Such stains usually have a darker color and are much more difficult to remove with usual methods.

Teeth whitening is done in two ways as in-home and in-office teeth whitening. In-office whitening should be done under the control of your dentist or a dental hygenist. The experience of the dentist, the product and the device used are very important.

In-office whitening is faster and more effective than in-home teeth whitening. The bleaching agent used is activated by laser and the process is completed in an average of 30 to 60 minutes.

Teeth whitening can be applied to people over the age of 18 and whose enamel structure is suitable. When teeth whitening is done under the control of a dentist, there will be no damage to the teeth and gums.

The duration of the effect of teeth whitening varies depending on factors such as the person’s eating habits and whether they are smoking. After teeth whitening, smoking should be reduced, and colored foods such as tea, coffee, and foods with sauce should be avoided.

If these conditions are followed after teeth whitening, the whiteness of the teeth would be longer-lasting.

Sinus Lifting

Sinus lifting, aka sinus augmentation, is a procedure that helps make it easier for dental implant placing. The bone structure must have sufficient volume and density in order to perform implant applications in the upper jaws. In cases where this tissue is not in the necessary conditions, an application called sinus lifting is applied. Sinus lifting is a technique applied to surgically intensify existing bone and provide new bone formation.

This sensitive operation is performed by applying local anesthesia by the maxillofacial surgeon. The sinus lifting technique aims to create the necessary bone formation for the implants to be long-lasting and healthy.

Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral, dental, and maxillofacial surgery apply treatment methods for hard and soft tissue diseases, injuries, and correction of fractures and disorders in the mouth, teeth, and jaw.

The field of study of oral, dental, and maxillofacial surgery covers applications such as tooth extraction, surgical tooth extraction, impacted wisdom tooth extraction, sinus lifting procedures, bone augmentation, jaw fractures and their treatments, treatment of jaw joint diseases, post-traumatic treatments, jaw cyst and tumor treatments, implant applications, jaw surgery, joint diseases and applications such as botox.

Examination, diagnosis, and treatment planning of patients who apply to the clinic are performed by specialists in oral, dental, and maxillofacial surgery. In some surgeries, patients can be treated with sedation or general anesthesia if necessary. According to the condition of the patients who are treated, check-ups are made in periods thought appropriate by the dentist.

Maxillofacial surgery is a special type of dentistry. It involves operations to correct diseases, injuries and defects of your face, jaw or mouth. Maxillofacial surgeons are advanced specialists who diagnose and treat problems with: Bones and tissues of your jaw and lower face (maxillofacial area)

Gum Contouring

Gum contouring is a form of treatment for reshaping the gum, correcting irregular lines, and making them symmetrical. Gum contouring is done to balance the tooth to gum ratio and for your smile to look more beautiful. Gum contouring is generally done for aesthetic purposes, but it can also be done for medical reasons in some cases.

You’ve probably seen a photo of someone with a gummy smile while smiling and wondering if this is something that can be changed. It is possible to correct this situation in a single session with gum contouring.

Gum contouring is done by anesthetizing with local anesthesia. It is a painless procedure as it is performed using a gingival laser.

After the gum contouring procedure, your dentist will follow the healing process. After gum contouring is completed, digital smile design can be done if necessary.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics is the branch of dentistry that examines the jaws, how straight are the teeth, and treats the issues in these areas. Orthodontic treatment improves the appearance of the teeth and how they work, including biting and speaking functions. It aims to prevent future gum diseases. At the end of the treatment, proper tooth alignment and an ideal jaw relation are achieved.

Orthodontic treatments are done by using braces, clear aligners (Invisalign), or some jaw appliances. Orthodontic treatments with transparent aligners (Invisalign) is an orthodontic treatment method designed specifically for the person by transferring the intraoral images taken with digital scans to the computer. The biggest advantage of clear aligners (Invisalign) is that patients do not experience any aesthetic concern because they are not visible when they are placed on the teeth. Many cases can be easily solved using digital technology and orthodontic treatments with transparent aligners.

Orthodontic treatments are crucial for the appearance of the jaw and lip, just like proper alignment of the teeth. The duration of orthodontic treatment varies according to the concern of the person. This period also depends on the cooperation of the patient and specialist. Thanks to orthodontic treatments, proper teeth alignment are possible at any age.

Inlay Onlay

Inlay and onlay is a form of treatment between a dental filling and a dental crown. Inlays or onlays are used in cases where there is not enough tooth structure for a tooth filling, but it is not damaged enough to make a dental crown. Onlays cover a larger area than inlays.

Inlays and onlays are produced from ceramic or fiber-reinforced composites.
Inlays and onlays look aesthetically pleasing.
Inlays and onlays preserve the remaining undamaged tooth tissue.
                       Inlays and onlays are long-lasting.
Inlays and onlays do not lose their colour over time.
The biological compatibility of inlays and onlays is excellent.
Since the surfaces of inlays and onlays are polished, bacterial plaque cannot stick.
Inlays and onlays minimize the risk of new caries forming.
Inlay and onlay are resistant to biting pressure.
Since inlays and onlays are produced with digital technology, it fits perfectly with the teeth and gums.
If you choose to have an Inlay or Onlay, you will take steps to improve the health of your teeth and the beauty of your smile. At Elite Med Clinic our dentists will explain the procedure fully to you before they begin.
